Recording Instruction Statistics

Recording the attendance in our library instruction classes helps us track the number of students we reach and also shows our relevance to the library. All classes that you teach (or TA for) in library instruction rooms need to have the attendance stats recorded in LibInsight. In addition, Advanced Writing Workshops (AWWs) need to have roll taken in the advanced writing workshop scheduler so that students get credit for attending.

If you teach library classes somewhere other than in our instruction rooms, that attendance information must also be recorded. For example, library classes taught in campus classrooms or AWWs of two students or more held in your office should be recorded as a Library Instruction Session in LibInsight (and also make sure you take roll for AWWs in the advanced writing workshop scheduler).

FYI: For reporting purposes, anytime you teach two or more students at a time, it is considered a library session and should be recorded as a Library Instruction Session in LibInsight. If you only taught one student (even if you scheduled to have more than one student there), then it should be recorded as a Reference.
